How to Search or Filter Users

Searching and filtering users helps you quickly locate records using specific criteria, such as name, role, dates, or custom fields.

1º Accessing the user administration module:

In the lower-left side menu, click on “Users”.

This section displays all registered users, allowing you to activate, deactivate, or edit each record.

2º Opening the advanced filter panel:

  1. Click the “Filter” button represented by the funnel icon next to the search bar.

  2. The filter modal panel will appear, containing three main columns:

    • **Field
    • **Operator
    • **Value

3º Selecting the field:

In the Field column, choose from the available attributes:

  • Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

  • Phone

  • Mobile Phone

  • Job Title

  • Permission Level (Administrator, Manager, User, External User, Restricted User, Inspector)

  • Created At (creation date)

  • Updated At (last update date)

  • Custom Fields (if any exist)

Note: Available operators change depending on the type of field selected.

4º Choosing the operator:

  • Text fields: Equal, Not Equal, Contains, Does Not Contain

  • Date fields: Equal, Not Equal, Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal

5º Defining the value:

  • Text: type the term or part of the text.

  • Date: select a date or range in the calendar.

  • Permission Level: choose from the dropdown list.

6º Applying the filter:

  1. Configure the Field, Operator, and Value.

  2. Click “Apply” at the bottom of the panel to display only the matching results.

7º Clearing the filters:

  1. Click the “Clear Filter” button represented by the brush icon next to the “Filter” button.

  2. The list will return to showing all users.

Best practices:

  • Combine fields (e.g., Last Name + Job Title) for more specific results.

  • Use “Contains” for partial searches and “Equal” for exact matches.

  • Apply date filters for historical reports, adjusting to shorter ranges.

  • Always clear filters after targeted searches to avoid affecting future queries.

  • Review the operator after changing the field to ensure it matches the data type.
