How to Search and Filter Tasks

Searching and filtering tasks allows you to quickly locate information using criteria such as title, owner, dates, priority, and status.

1st Step: Accessing the Tasks Module

In the upper left side menu, click “Tasks” to open the tasks area.

At the top, you will find two view tabs:

  • List: displays tasks paginated in a list format.
  • Calendar: shows the same tasks in a calendar format, allowing monthly visualization.

2nd Step: Opening the Filter Panel

  1. Click the “Filter” button represented by the funnel icon in the task list header.
  2. The modal panel will be displayed with three columns: Field, Operator, and Value.

3rd Step: Configuring the Field

In the Field dropdown, choose one of the following task attributes:

  • Title
  • Owner
  • Start Date
  • End Date
  • Priority
  • Status
  • Created At
  • Updated At

4th Step: Choosing the Operator

The Operator dropdown adapts based on the selected field type:

  • Text fields: Equal, Not Equal, Contains, Does Not Contain
  • Date fields: Equal, Not Equal, Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or Equal

5th Step: Defining the Value

  • For text: type or select the desired term.
  • For dates: use the date picker (range or single date).
  • For entities: select from the dropdown list.

6th Step: Applying and Clearing Filters

  1. Click “Apply” in the lower right corner of the modal to display only the tasks that match the criteria.
  2. To remove all filters and return to the full list, click the “Clear Filter” button represented by the brush icon next to “Filter”.

Best Practices:

  • Combine fields (e.g., Owner + Status) to quickly find specific tasks.
  • Use “Contains” for partial searches and “Equal” for exact matches.
  • Limit date ranges to improve performance in large lists.
  • Always clear filters after use to avoid accidental searches in partial lists.

Conclusion:

You have learned how to search and filter tasks by configuring Field, Operator, and Value, applying and clearing filters to find exactly what you need. If you have any questions, contact our support team.
