How to Import Records to a Database via CSV

Importing records into Databases using CSV allows you to add data in bulk quickly, ensuring that the information follows a correct and system-validated structure.

1st Step: Accessing the Databases Module

In the upper left side menu, click “Databases” to open the list of databases.

Select the desired database to view its records.

2nd Step: Downloading the Import Template

  1. In the upper right corner of the records screen, click the “Import to CSV” button represented by the upload icon.
  2. In the import window, click “Download Template” to get the CSV model file, which includes columns in the exact order:
  • name (record name)
  • base_de_dados_name (database name)
  • owner_user (responsible user)
  • creator_user (creator user)
  • base_de_dados_uuid (database universal unique identifier)
  • owner_user_uuid (responsible user universal unique identifier)
  • creator_user_uuid (creator user universal unique identifier)
  • created_at (creation date and time)
  • updated_at (last update date and time)

    1. Open the template in a spreadsheet editor and fill each row with                  record data, respecting the column order and headers.

    1. Save the completed CSV.

3rd Step: Importing the Records CSV File

  1. Still in the import window, click “Drag a file or click to select”, choose your completed CSV, and click “Open”.
  2. Click “Import Data” to start the process.

4th Step: Completing the Import

  1. If everything is correct, a success notification will be displayed in the lower left corner.
  2. The records list will be automatically updated, displaying the newly imported records.

Best Practices:

  • Use the official template to avoid formatting errors.
  • Verify column order and exact names before filling the file.
  • Test with a small number of records before performing a bulk import.
  • Keep a backup of the original CSV for future reimports or corrections.
