How to Filter User Activity Logs

Filtering user activity logs helps you quickly find specific records, making audits and activity monitoring easier. See how to do it below.

1st Step: Accessing the System Logs Administration Module

In the lower left side menu, click “Settings” to access “System Logs” (eye icon), located in the upper left corner of the screen, to the right of “Card Tracker” (magnifying glass icon).

2nd Step: Filtering User Activity Logs

To locate specific events, use the filter within the “Logs” tab, click the “Filter” button (funnel icon) in the upper left corner of the Logs tab. The filter panel will appear, containing three columns: Field, Operator, and Value.

3rd Step: Selecting the Field

In the “Field” dropdown, choose one of the available options:

  • Action: type of activity (Create, Update, Remove, Verify).
  • Entity: element affected by the action (Pipeline, Database,                User, etc.).
  • User: person responsible for the action.
  • Created At: date when the action was recorded.

4th Step: Choosing the Operator

The “Operator” dropdown adjusts according to the selected field and may include:

  • Equal, Different, Contains, Does Not Contain
  • For dates: Greater Than, Less Than, Greater or Equal, Less or          Equal

5th Step: Defining the Value

In the “Value” field, select or enter the comparison parameter:

  • For Field = Action: Create, Update, Delete, or Verify.
  • For Field = Entity: choose between Pipeline, Pipeline Stage,            Pipeline Card, Database, Database Record, User, Automation,          Form, File, Note, or Custom Field.
  • For Field = User: select the user's name.
  • For Field = Created At or Updated At: define the date or date          range.

6th Step: Applying the Filter

After defining Field, Operator, and Value, click “Apply” at the bottom of the panel. The log list will update to show only the entries that match the criteria.

7th Step: Clearing Filters

To return to the full view: click “Clear Filter” (circular arrow) next to the "Filter" (funnel) button. All criteria will be removed and all records will be displayed again.

Best Practices:

  • Define clear filters to speed up the search process.
  • Combine multiple criteria to refine results.
  • Record frequently used filter configurations.
  • Clear filters after finishing to avoid partial views.
  • Verify that the results match expectations before making decisions.
