How to Edit Records in a Database

Editing records in a Database allows you to modify existing information, including standard and custom fields. See below how to perform this process.

1st Step: Accessing the Databases Module

In the upper left side menu, click “Databases” to open the list of databases.

Select the desired database to view its records.

2nd Step: Selecting the Record

  1. Click on the row of the record you want to edit.
  2. After clicking, the “Update Record” modal will be displayed, containing:
  • Name (record name)
  • Owner (responsible user)
  • Custom Fields (optional)

3rd Step: Saving Changes

  1. After making the changes, click “Save” at the bottom to save.
  2. A notification will be displayed indicating that the record was successfully updated.

Best Practices:

  • Check the change history in the Logs tab before editing.
  • Add comments in the Notes tab to explain major changes.
  • Review custom field values to maintain consistency.
  • Confirm with the responsible user before editing critical records.
