3rd Step: Adjusting Basic Fields

In the form, you can update:

  • Name: rename the automation to better reflect its purpose.
  • Group: move the automation to another group or create a new one.
  • Description: detail or update the automation purpose.

4th Step: Changing Entity, Event, or Action

If needed, modify the main parameters without creating a new automation:

  • Entity: change the object linked to the automation (Pipeline Cards, Database Records, Tasks, or Users).
  • Event: choose a new trigger such as Create, Update, Delete, Move, or Task Completed.
  • Action: replace the executed activity, such as sending an email, moving a card, adding a note, triggering a webhook, among other options.

Example: an automation configured as Create Card → Send Email can be changed to Move Card → Add Note, adjusting the flow without starting from scratch.

5th Step: Configuring Conditions

Edit, add, or remove execution conditions by adjusting fields, operators, and values.

6th Step: Saving Changes

After completing the adjustments, click “Update Automation”. The automation will be updated and will take effect immediately.

Best Practices:

  • Review carefully before saving to avoid incorrect changes.
  • Document the automation logic in the description for easier maintenance.
  • Test with sample records after critical changes.
  • Keep consistent naming across similar automations.
