How to Create Records in a Database

Creating records in a database allows you to add new information to the system by filling in standard and custom fields. See how to do it.

1st Step: Accessing the Databases Module

In the upper left side menu, click “Databases” to open the list of databases.

Select the desired database to view its records.

2nd Step: Opening the Records List

Select the desired database by clicking on its tile.

If there are no records, the message “No records found” will be displayed along with the “New Record” button.

3rd Step: Creating a New Record

  1. Click the “New Record” button in the upper left corner.
  2. The “Create Record” modal will be displayed with standard and custom fields (if any).

4th Step: Filling in the Fields

  1. Name: enter a descriptive name for the record (e.g., “Client A”).
  2. Owner: select the responsible user.

5th Step: Saving and Confirming

  1. Click the “Create Record” button at the bottom of the modal.
  2. A notification will appear in the lower left corner indicating that the record was successfully created.

The new record will appear in the list, displaying Name, Owner, Created At, and Updated At.

Best Practices:

  • Fill in all required fields before saving.
  • Use clear names to facilitate future searches.
  • Review important custom fields for your workflow.
  • Confirm the owner to avoid unassigned records.
