How to Create a Pipeline Stage

Creating a stage in a pipeline allows you to better organize the workflow by defining clear steps and execution deadlines. Follow the steps below to add a new stage.

1st Step: Accessing the Pipelines Module

In the upper left side menu, click “Pipelines” and open the pipeline you want to adjust.

2nd Step: Opening the Pipeline Settings

  1. Click “Module Settings”, represented by the “(...)” icon in the upper right corner.
  2. In the “Update Pipeline” modal, locate the “Pipeline Stages” section.

3rd Step: Adding a New Stage

  1. Click “+ Add Stage” in the stages section.
  2. The “Create Stage” modal will be displayed.

4th Step: Configuring Name and SLA

  1. In the “Name” field, enter the stage title (e.g., “In Review”).
  2. In the “SLA” field, define the maximum time in hours that a card can stay in the stage (e.g., 24).
  3. Click “Create Stage” at the bottom of the window to save.

5th Step: Verifying the Created Stage

  1. The “Pipeline Stages” list in the modal will display the new stage at the end.
  2. Close the modal and check the corresponding column in the pipeline.

Best Practices:

  • Use clear names that indicate the purpose of each stage.
  • Define realistic SLAs for each phase of the process.
  • Validate the position of the new stage before closing the settings.
