How to Configure the Send Action for Chat Channels

Configuring the Send Discord, Send Slack, or Send Google Chat action allows you to automatically send messages directly to team communication channels, ensuring that everyone is notified in real time about changes in cards, records, or tasks.

1st Step: Accessing the Automations Administration Module

In the lower left side menu, click “Automations” to view the list.

2nd Step: Creating or Editing an Automation

Click “New Automation” to create a rule or select an existing automation to edit.

3rd Step: Defining the Entity and Event

  1. Select the Entity that will be monitored (e.g., Pipeline Cards, Database Records, Tasks, or Users).

  2. Choose the Event that will trigger the automation:

  • Create
  • Update
  • Delete
  • Move
  • Task Completed
  • All Tasks Completed Each entity has its own events that can be used depending on the context.

4th Step: Selecting the Action

In the Action field, choose “Send Discord”, “Send Slack”, or “Send Google Chat”, depending on the connector you want to use.

5th Step: Applying Conditions (Optional)

If necessary, add conditions to restrict when the message should be sent. Configure:

  • Field
  • Operator

6th Step: Configuring the Message for the Chat Channel

In the Settings section, fill in the fields:

  • Endpoint/Channel: enter the webhook address or select the             configured channel that will receive the message.
  • Message: type the content that will be sent to the channel.
  • Token (Slack): enter the authentication token.

(Optional) You can use dynamic variables represented by the (x) icon next to the field to automatically personalize the message text, inserting information such as customer name, card owner, or order number.

7th Step: Saving the Automation

  1. After reviewing the configuration, click “Create Automation”.

  2. The rule will become active and will send messages to the configured channel whenever the defined event and conditions are met.

Best Practices:

  • Use variables to personalize messages and make them more informative.
  • Configure specific channels for each type of notification to avoid information overload.
  • Test message delivery in a test channel before applying it in production.
  • Use conditions to trigger messages only when truly necessary.
