2nd Step: What Is a Custom Field Mask

A mask is a pattern that formats data while the user types, ensuring that the value follows the correct format, such as phone numbers or dates.

3rd Step: Defining the Mask

  1. Open “Module Settings” represented by the “(...)” icon in the upper right corner of the Pipelines screen.

  2. Select the “Fields” tab.

  3. Choose one of the following options:

  • To create: click “Add Custom Field”.
  • To edit: locate the field in the list and click it to edit.

    1. In the “Create/Edit Custom Field” modal, locate the “Mask”            field and define the pattern, for example: **(###) ###-#####     2. Click “Create Field” or “Update Field” to save.

4th Step: Testing the Mask in Real Time

  1. Open a card in the pipeline where the custom field was created.
  2. In the field with the mask, type a value and observe:
  • Characters are automatically inserted in the defined positions.
  • Inputs that do not match the pattern are blocked or                            automatically adjusted.

Best Practices:

  • Use masks only for standardized formats to avoid input errors.
  • Inform the correct format in the placeholder to guide users.
  • Test the mask with different inputs before applying it in production.
  • Document the mask pattern in the internal wiki to maintain records and facilitate future reference.
